There seems to be some
confusion regarding band camp information, so I will
post it to the website. Returning band students
should have brought this home in the Spring before
school was out, and freshman students and percussion
should have received a letter with this info this
summer.
Band Camp begins Wednesday, July 22. Freshman, Guard, and Percussion students only report on Wednesday. Returning students report on Thursday, July 23. All groups rehearse Thursday & Friday, July 23/24. All rehearsals this week are from 8 am - noon. Students should bring instruments and equipment everyday and plenty of water to drink.
Band Camp continues the week of July 27th-31st. THESE REHEARSALS ARE FROM 8 AM - 3 PM. No student will be allowed to leave the campus for lunch this week.
All documents that have been sent home are now posted in the Band Forms page. Also, the calendar in Charms is kept as up-to-date as possible. The code for entry is rheachsband.

DCI Trip Info

Attention all band
members and parents: it’s time for a road
trip!!!
Once again, Drum Corps International, commonly known as DCI, is coming to Atlanta’s Georgia Dome for the Southeastern Championship on Saturday, July 25th. This competition presents the height of excellence in marching bands and will be both educational and highly entertaining. Trust me- it’s going to be a blast!!!
The cost of this trip is $35 per person. This covers the ticket and bus transportation. Seats on the bus are first come, first serve. We will leave the school at about noon on Saturday, and be back around midnight. Students & parents will be responsible for their own meal & souvenirs.
The deadline to have the money turned in is Wednesday, July 22nd. For payment info & to reserve a seat on the bus, please call me- Jennifer Hood- at 834-6060 or send me an e-mail at hoodj@rheacounty.org. For those of you who don’t know me, I coach the flag squad and also teach sophomore biology at RCHS.
